Shepherd's Hut - Overview
The Shepherds Hut oozes rustic charm inside and out, it is truly distinctive and has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
The timber frame structure is mounted on a full turntable metal chassis with brand new cast iron wheels from a traditional design. Typically the hut has a stable door, an opening window on either side and a small opening window on the back but this can all be changed to suit your requirements.
Inside the hut, the beautiful douglas fir framework is left exposed and packed inbetween with sheep's wool insulation allowing the hut to remain cool in summer and warm in winter. Traditional curved corrugated metal sheeting is used for the roof.
We can offer several options to make the hut suitable for its intended purpose including wood burning stove, beds, folding table, 12v or mains lighting etc.
Approximate measurements (inches) are as follows:
External:
- Width - 7ft
- Length - 12ft, 14ft or 16ft options
- Height - 10½ft to the top of the curved roof
- Outer wheel to outer wheel - 7ft 9”
Internal:
- Width - 6ft 3”
- Length - Deduct 6” from the external length
