Shepherd's Hut - Overview
Of similar proportions to a Shepherds Hut but with a pitched roof and waney edge cladding, the Woodman’s Hut is our flagship product and it’s rustic charm inside and out makes it an ideal solution for glamping accommodation with a difference.
The timber frame structure is mounted on a full turntable metal chassis with brand new cast iron wheels from a traditional design as seen on old Shepherds Huts. The hut has a stable door, an opening window on either side and a small opening window on the back of the hut.
Inside the hut, the exposed framework gives the feel and look of a medieval timber frame building. Sheep’s wool insulation is used throughout allowing the hut to remain cool in summer and warm in winter. Corrugated metal sheeting capped with a traditional roll top ridge is used for the roof.
We can offer several options to make the hut suitable for its intended purpose including wood burning stove, beds, folding table, 12v or mains lighting etc.
